After the hugely successful Barn Dance of 2012, Charlie’s Gift hosted another night of fun and mayhem, which left our guests weak with laughter! Barn Dance caller Anna from ‘Hedgerow Tipple’ expertly kept us rowdy rabble under control once again. On 5th and 6th December 2013 'Charlie's Heroes' took to their bikes to repeat their successful ride of 2011.
A 20 strong-team of cyclists headed up by Jason battled icy winds, potholes, brambles and disgruntled swans to cycle 130-miles from Birmingham to Hemel Hempstead along the unforgiving Grand Union canal towpaths.
Many punctures and several ‘dips’ in the canal later, their heroic fundraising efforts totalled an amazing £11,024.77 For Charlie’s Gift. Thanks guys for your continued support!
The Boxmoor Playhouse in Hemel Hempstead was transformed into a Winter Wonderland for one sparkling night on November 23rd 2013. With snow-dusted balloons, crystal scattered tables and twinkling lights, the scene was set for a special night of fundraising for Charlie’s Gift. The evening began in style with a champagne reception followed by a few words from our Trustee David, announcing the news of Charlie’s Gift receiving charity registration and with the unveiling of our new logo!
