Although we are operating with limited funds due to the current restraints put on our fundraising by the COVID-19 Virus, Charlie's Gift has fortunately still been able to support a number of wonderful children across the Three Counties region. Since Lockdown began at the end of March we have had the pleasure of supporting several local families, during what has been an extra challenging time for them all.Over the past 10 weeks we are delighted to have awarded grants for 2 pushchairs for two little girls with complex needs, a trampoline for an 11 year old boy with special needs, furniture for a family who had very little following emergency re-housing, hospital travel costs for the family of a little boy who is undergoing chemotherapy as well as a dry-suit for a little girl to wear whilst swimming, to keep her chemotherapy Hickman line dry.
In addition to this, we have received this lovely video clip of 6 year old Riley from Bucks who has recently benefitted from a Charlie's Gift grant for a specially adapted swing seat. Thank you to Riley's family for allowing us to share this clip of their precious son enjoying every moment of his new-found freedom. This has made us smile from ear to ear!
